About the Course

 This course is designed to introduce students to the art of theatre, specifically the creative processes of performance, technical production, and analyzing and evaluating dramatic works. Through a survey of these processes, students can begin to determine a personal interest in theatre whether it be a performer, a technician, or an evaluator. The course will also explore theatre history to provide students with a foundational understanding of theatre and how it has evolved.  Students are expected to see one live theatre performance a semester to write an evaluation. These can include school, community, or professional productions.
